Arthur Lakes Library has several capabilities that integrate with your BlasterCard.   The library is equipped with magnetic card readers at the Circulation Desk that will facilitate the use of your BlasterCard to check out books. The other capabilities are discussed below.

Card Management Center

One Card Management Center (CMC) is located on the second floor in the stacks along the East wall near the copy machines.  The CMC enables you to add cash to your BurroBucks* account using either cash, a debit card, or a credit card.  Visitors may also purchase a "Guest" card that will enable the use of the library's copiers and microfiche printers.

Copiers/Microfiche Printers

There are six copy machines located on the second floor of the library.  Five are currently connected to Copy Control Units (CCUs).  In addition, the two microfiche readers on the second floor are connected to CCUs.  By swiping your BlasterCard through a CCU, you can activate the copier/microfiche printer.  Your BurroBucks* cash account will be charged the current per/page rate.

Vending Machine

The vending machine located on the second floor is connected to the will accept your BlasterCard and use your BurroBucks* cash account to pay for your selection.

*You cannot use or deposit funds into your BurroBucks account until you activate it by accepting the Disclosure Statement.  You may do so either online or in person at the Card Office.
