Stored Value Accounts are accounts attached to your BlasterCard. These accounts may contain positive balances that represent cash value on deposit. Depending on your status as a student, you may have one or more active stored value accounts. Each account type is explained below, and the table shows you where each account may be used. - Munch Money - This is an account that is a component of a meal plan. The cash value deposited into this account varies and depends upon the terms of the meal plan you purchase. You cannot deposit your own funds into this account. Munch Money can only be spent in Dining Services facilities as shown in the table below. The balance in this account is set to zero at the end of every semester. In other words, "Use it or lose it!"
- BurroBucks - This is an optional account that you must activate by agreeing to the Disclosure Statement. This fund will accept cash money deposited in a Card Management Center. The Card Office will accept both cash and credit cards. As indicated in the table below, this account is the most generic. It can be used wherever your BlasterCard is accepted.
| Useage | Munch Money | BurroBucks | | Slate Cafe | Y | Y | | Food Court | Y | Y | | Juice Lab | Y | Y | Mines Park Convenience | Y | Y | | Concessions | Y | Y | | Bookstore | N | Y | Campus Laundry | N | Y | Vending Machines | N | Y | | Copiers | N | Y | Remember...your BlasterCard is not an ATM card...it can be used like a debit card on campus and at off-campus merchants that accept it. You are not allowed to go into a negative balance. No money in the account? No transaction. Simple. NOTE: You cannot use or deposit funds into your BurroBucks account until you activate it by accepting the Disclosure Statement. You may do so either online or in person at the Card Office.
