Colorado School of Mines Directory Services

The main directory repository at CSM is updated daily with data from Banner. See the link below for more information on accessing this system. Changes made online will be reflected in the directory services after the nightly update (which usually runs between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM).

By default, student information such as name, email address, and major are published in these directories. Students wishing to not release this information as provided in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) should contact the Registrar’s Office. Employee information such as name, department, and email address is always available.

There are several places where directory information about CSM students, faculty, staff, and other associated individuals is made available:

• Online Directory Search
  You can search online for individuals at http://www.is.mines.edu/dirsearch/.
• Printable Directories
  Printable directories are available to on-campus users. These files are in an Adobe Portable Document Format.
• Automated Attendant
  The Colorado School of Mines now has an automated attendant 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Simply dial 0 from any campus telephone or 303-273-3000 local, 1-800-446-9488 long distance and say the name of the person or department you would like to speak with and Liaison will do the rest. This new system will also transfer callers by extension, by entering a valid four-digit campus extension at anytime. Callers may also say fax numbers, directions, and address for automated information.
• Online LDAP Directory Server
  There is an online directory server available for use by software clients such as email programs. Click here to learn more.
• Outlook Address Book (for IS users)
  Administrative departments that use the Outlook email client provided by Information Services have directory data for employees available in the global address book. Contact Information Services Support if you have any questions.
