Updating your data

Individuals associated with CSM have the ability to correct and update some of their directory data online through the Trailhead Portal.  The Directory is currently in a state of flux since it is produced entirely from data in Banner, which does not always correspond to data in the old Plus systems.  We are working toward using the Banner-delivered Campus Directory exclusively, but have much work to do before the delivered product can be configured to meet our unique needs.

If you don't remember or know your Trailhead password, the Trailhead login page has some self-help information. To report problems or to request additional help with accessing or using the Trailhead portal, please submit a support request to the Trailhead Helpdesk or call the Computing Center Front desk (x3431).

After logging in to Trailhead, click on the "Self Service" link in the top row of icons-- this takes you to Self Service Banner and looks like this:  The next page doesn't specifically say it is Self-Service Banner, but it should start with a link similar to this one:

Click on this 'Personal Information' link to update your online directory information.  The directories are refreshed every morning from Banner, and it may take up to a day for changes made in the self-service site to be visible in the directories.

Depending on your role, you may also be able to access student, faculty, or employee menus along with Personal Information. This replaces the functionality previously available on the Employee and Student Self Service websites. Most directory information is now fed from this Banner system.

For questions on employee-specific data, you can contact the HR Department, and for student or faculty questions you can contact the Registrar's Office.

Student data: Contact the Office of the Registrar by telephone at (303) 273-3200, or registrar@mines.edu.

Employee data: Contact the Human Resources department by telephone at (303) 273-3250.

Students can request that their directory data should not be public in the Registrar's Office. Employees' directory information is usually considered public data.
