Business Hours
IS Offices are in Room 110 of the Guggenheim Building. Open Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm but someone is usually in the office from 7:30am to 5:30pm
Administrative Computer Systems Operating Schedule
FRS, HRS, and SIS are up and available as listed in bold below.
Backups and routine system processing and maintenance are normally done during the periods of unavailability. The Info_Services Windows networks are unavailable nightly from midnight to 2am to allow for email backups. (Windows system backups are performed on the networks each evening starting at 7:00 pm but users may be using the network and still expect complete backups.)
Individual computer backups (your "My Documents" or other arranged directory) begin at 7:00 pm as well and may not complete if a file is in use when the system begins to backup the specific computer.)
Administrative System Availability
| Sunday | Typically, available 7am to 11pm but may be unavailable for system maintenance without prior announcement. Check current system status (see below) for announcements if unsure. |
| Monday to Thursday | Available 7am to 11pm (incremental backup done daily, full backup done friday.) |
| Friday | Available 7am to 11pm (full backup done) |
| Saturday | Typically, available 9am to midnight but may be delayed due to backup length friday night. The systems may also be unavailable all day for system maintenance with prior announcement. |
On the last working day of the month, FRS is unavailable at 6pm for month-end closing operations.
