The Office of Planning and Policy Analysis (OPPA) at the Colorado School of Mines was established in 2007 to provide proactive and responsive support, information, and coordinated leadership for college-wide strategic planning efforts, internal and external policy analyses and management, institutional research and reporting, and government relations at the state and local levels. Three formal areas of responsibility within the Office of Planning and Policy Analysis include:
- External Affairs
- Policy, Planning, and Analysis
- Institutional Research
The staff of the OPPA are committed to supporting and fostering the central educational mission of the Colorado School of Mines, while also connecting with various internal and external constituencies for the betterment of the university and its future. The OPPA staff report through the Associate Vice President for Planning and Policy Analysis and provide direct support to the President of the Colorado School of Mines.
