Equipment Matching


Proposals requiring matching funds for equipment purchases must be approved by a committee composed of:

  • The Vice President for Research & Technology Transfer
  • The Dean of Graduate Studies
  • The Associate Vice President for Research
  • The Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, and
  • The Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs

and can meet in special session any time at the request of the V.P. for Research and Technology Transfer.

The committee meets in early January, April, July, and October. Faculty who want to submit a proposal requiring equipment matching need to complete the Request for Equipment Matching Funds Form (Word) and return the completed form to the Vice President for Research. Requestors will be notified by the Vice President for Research of the status of their request.

Funds for matching grants is limited. Requests over $75,000 will not be decided by the committee, but will require special consideration by the Administration. Contact the Vice President for Research, Dr. John Poate, directly if the request is over $75,000.
