FEE PAYMENT SCHEDULE

All students, including senior citizens, must pay the $60 technology fee ($30 during Summer I and Summer II sessions).

Non-degree students considered full-time (see above) must pay all student fees unless they receive a waiver after a formal request is received (see registration form). The following are reasons a waiver may be granted:

Non-degree students attending part-time will be assessed the mandatory Technology Fee and Parking Permit Fee only. However, any non-degree student, wishing to take part in student activities and receive student privileges may do so by paying full mandatory fees. There is not an option to pay only specific fees; students would be required to pay ALL mandatory fees. Non-Degree students do not qualify to receive Heath Insurance; there is not an option to be assessed this fee through Colorado School of Mines. If you will not have a car on campus, you may submit a parking permit fee waiver to Parking Services. Please see the Student Receivables office regarding fee waivers.

CLASS LOCATIONS

All courses are offered on the CSM campus and you will find the building and room information when you login to Trailhead and view your schedule. A campus map may be found here. A parking permit, which allows for parking in designated lots, needs to be obtained from CSM Parking Services (refer to link in right sidebar named "Parking Options and Prices").

WITHDRAWALS

If you withdraw before the Census date (see Academic Calendar), you will receive a full refund. You must contact the Registrar's Office in person or email registrar@mines.edu. Refer to the CSM Bulletin for refund policies after a course starts or contact the Controller's Office.

STUDENT ID's

Student Identification cards or BlasterCards are available and will allow you use of the library. If you elect to pay student fees, your ID card will allow you to use the gymnasium and Health Center (it does not provide health insurance), and to participate in student activities, athletics, and Associated Student Organizations.

RESIDENCY

If you are not at least 22 years old by the first day of classes, you are assumed to have the same legal residence as your parents. If your parents live out of state, you may petition the School for resident status as an emancipated minor. If you have lived in Colorado for the past 12 months, you may be eligible for in-state tuition rates and might be asked for documentation.

ELIGIBILITY

Academic qualifications are the responsibility of the student, and prospective students are urged to speak with the course instructor to ensure that the student's qualifications adequately address the requirements of the course. You should have a high school diploma, GED, or prerequisites required for the course(s) in which you have chosen to enroll.
